When it comes to media and style, the sky is the limit.
Will I work in pen and ink? Or in pastels? Or maybe paint? In this case, I tried something new. Using a blue animation pencil (it scans, but tends not to show up in photocopies), I lay down the basic structure of a drawing. Then, I bring it into photoshop to clean it up. I’ll darken the lines, and delete all the white background. Then, still in photoshop, I’ll create a new layer and apply colour. The result is very flexible. It’s easy to adjust, and there are millions of colours at my command.
These three images represent the three stages.
